Oscar Downstream is the largest independent oil company in Romania, with a strong presence in fuel distribution and logistics. In 2016, the company entered the retail market and needed a brand that could speak directly to drivers, not just the industry.
The challenge was to shift perception. From a functional, B2B-focused company to a brand people could relate to in everyday driving moments.
The concept started from a simple insight: the brand should be built from the driver’s perspective. Not from the company, not from the product, but from the experience of being on the road.
The identity takes inspiration from the universal language of driving. Road signs, dashboard indicators, movement, direction. Familiar elements, simplified into a clear and flexible visual system.
The logo evolves from this idea, inspired by the steering wheel. A symbol of control, direction, and the connection between driver and journey.
The result is a modern, accessible identity built around Smart Driving. Professional, simple, and respectful, just like the relationship the brand aims to build with its drivers.
