Avon’s global platform, Beauty for a Purpose, needed to feel relevant for Romanian women.
Instead of talking about beauty and promoting products in the usual way, we used them as a medium for something more personal. Messages were placed directly on the packaging, reaching women in their own space, at home, in quiet, unguarded moments.
This became Avon’s first line of “inner beauty” cosmetics. The same products for outer beauty, but reimagined to speak about confidence, courage, joy, and self-worth.
By stepping away from conventional communication, the campaign created a more intimate connection. One that didn’t sell beauty, but helped women rediscover it in themselves. And it worked. Hundreds of thousands of women received the message, not as an ad, but as something meant just for them.
